Richard B. Collins, president and CEO of United Bank, announced today that Eric I. Bacong has joined the Bank as vice president, commercial lending in the Connecticut Region’s Bristol office.
Bacong brings with him 10 years of experience in both commercial real estate and commercial and industrial lending, and a banking history that includes sales, underwriting and branch management.
He was most recently with Savings Institute Bank & Trust, following experience as vice president, commercial lending at New England Bank, which was acquired by United Bank in November 2012.
Bacong holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Connecticut in Storrs. A Berlin resident, he serves on the board of managers of the Berlin YMCA and has been a member of the Southington Chamber of Commerce and the Southington Economic Development Committee.
