Rockville Bank Foundation Donates $15,000 to Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity
Donation from the Foundation Supports Habitat’s 2014-2016 Neighborhood Bank Build
The Rockville Bank Foundation today announced that it has donated $15,000 to Hartford Area Habitat for Humanity in support of Habitat’s mission of “Building More Than a House.”
The $15,000 donation from the Foundation is earmarked for Habitat’s 2014-2016 Neighborhood Bank Build. Specifically, Rockville’s support will help build 2 homes in the Greater Hartford community, one house in the Frog Hollow Neighborhood of Hartford and one in Bristol on Bernie Ave. Over the years, Hartford Habitat has helped to build safe, decent and affordable housing for more than 200 families in the greater Hartford community.
The Rockville Bank Foundation was established in May 1998 to assist in improving the quality of life in all “Rockville Bank: A Division of United Bank” communities they serve. The Foundation makes awards, grants and other monetary distributions to meet the social, economic and credit needs of communities while reinvesting in them to enrich the lives of local residents and families.
