United Bank's Community Partnership with First Choice Health Centers
Thanks to the strong community partnership between the United Bank Foundation Connecticut and First Choice Health Centers, the First Choice team in Rockville was not only able to expand the critical medical services they provide residents of the Greater Vernon area but they can now deliver these enhanced services at their new location at 94 Union Street.
A $10,000 donation recently made by the United Bank Foundation Connecticut helped make it possible for First Choice Health Centers to provide a broad range of medical and behavioral care services in Rockville in a more patient-friendly, comfortable healthcare office setting. At the new 94 Union Street location, residents in Greater Vernon can take advantage of chronic disease management services for diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol and asthma.
The team also specializes in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, which is used to improve emotional regulation and aims to reduce suicidality and self-harm for teens and adults and patients now have access to a wide ranging behavior health services designed to treat anxiety, depression and an array of mood disorders. New to this location is podiatry care, including diabetic foot care.
