United Bank Foundation Donates $5,000 to Amy's Angels
The United Bank Foundation Connecticut announced today that it has donated $5,000 to Amy’s Angels, a 501(c)3 grassroots organization that provides comprehensive short and long term assistance to individuals and their families coping with the debilitating effects of serious illness or injury.
The Foundation’s generosity directly supports two of Amy’s Angels fundraisers this year: the Kentucky Derby Party that was held on May 7 in Avon and their 3rd
Annual Gala that will be held at The Riverview on Saturday, November 19, 2016. In 2014, the United Bank Foundation donated $1,000 to Amy’s Angels in support of their 1st
Amy’s Angels was established in 2014 in memory of Amy (Fiondella) Bochman, a mother who lost her battle with breast cancer before her son reached the age of six.
Joel Nowakowski, Vice President and Commercial Banker based at United’s West Hartford Banking Center on LaSalle Road, presented the $5,000 check on behalf of the United Bank Foundation to Bob Fiondella, Amy’s cousin and Board Chairman for Amy’s Angels, and Todd Piro, Amy’s Angels Board member.
