$40,000 donated to local agencies for tornado relief
After this summer’s devastating tornado, United Bank joined forces with WGGB ABC40 / FOX6 to establish a tornado relief fund, asking our customers and neighbors to donate money to support local disaster relief efforts. The Bank committed $5,000 as the initial deposit to the Fund, which was managed by WGGB ABC40 / FOX6.
Through your efforts, we were able to collect $40,000!
This week we presented checks of $10,000 each to the United Way of the Pioneer Valley, The Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts, The Salvation Army and The American Red Cross. All four organizations jumped into action June 1st helping our neighbors in countless ways.
We would like to thank everyone for their contributions to the Tornado Relief Fund!
