United Bank Announces Winners of its 2015 Mortgage Loan Officer Sales Contest

United Bank today announced the winners of its 2015 Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) Sales Contest, the Bank’s second annual internal awards program that recognizes its bankers for achieving excellence in mortgage production.
 
The final standings are based on the number of units and volume closed in 2015. Depending on an MLO’s production for a given year, they can be recognized in three categories: Chairman’s Club - including Chairman’s Club Champion, President’s Club or Vice President’s Club. This year’s winners of United Bank’s 2015 Mortgage Loan Officer Sales Contest are:
 
Chairman’s Club Champion
Jarret Coleman, Private Mortgage Banker, recognized for being the top originator in mortgage sales in 2015 at United, has vast experience in mortgage banking, starting out as a processor in 2008.  He became an originator in 2009 with Pegasus Investment Group and has been in the top 1% of all originations nationwide for volume closed since 2011.  Coleman, a resident of Glastonbury, Conn., joined United Bank in January of 2014 and is based at United Bank’s Fairfield County Loan Production Office at 1720 Post Road in Fairfield.
 
Chairman’s Club
Joseph Antonios, Vice President & Private Mortgage Banker, oversees mortgage lending for United’s Fairfield County market. He has over 20 years of experience in mortgage banking. Before joining United Bank in January 2014, Antonios held a long term position as President/CEO of Metro Mortgage Corp. and was Senior Vice President of Residential Lending for the Connecticut region of Guaranteed Rate, Inc. Antonios, a resident of Middlebury, Conn., is based at United’s Fairfield County Loan Production Office at 1720 Post Road in Fairfield.
 
Craig Cooper, Private Mortgage Banker, joined United Bank in September 2014 and has over 13 years of experience in financial services and private mortgage lending. In addition to being President of Hourglass Mortgage of Washington Depot, Conn. from 2003 to 2009, Cooper held other leadership roles in the mortgage banking industry including Private Mortgage Banker at EverBank; Managing Director of Boulevard Bank; and Branch Manager for MortgageMaster. A well-known mortgage banker in Litchfield County, Cooper is based at United’s Loan Production Office in Washington Depot.
 
Lynne Kirby, Vice President & Mortgage Loan Officer, and last year’s Chairman’s Club Champion, is a resident of Wethersfield, Conn. and has over two decades of mortgage banking experience in Connecticut. Prior to joining United Bank in 2012, Kirby was a Mortgage Consultant with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage for nearly 15 years. Kirby is based at United’s Banking Center on LaSalle Road in West Hartford.
 
Rick Fritsch, Direct Sales Loan Officer at United Bank, who just reached his one-year anniversary in this position, is one of three mortgage lenders at United who handle consumer loans and mortgage via the internet and phone. Fritsch, a resident of East Hartford, Conn., is currently enrolled in the Connecticut Bankers Association’s Connecticut School of Finance and Management. He is based at United’s regional office in South Windsor, Conn.
 
Jason McConnell, Direct Sales Manager, a Chairman’s Club winner in 2014, joined United Bank in October 2013 as a Mortgage Loan Officer and is one of three mortgage lenders who handle consumer loans and mortgage via internet and phone. His career in mortgage banking began with Webster Bank in Wallingford where he was a Mortgage Loan Officer. McConnell is a resident of Cheshire and is based at United’s regional office in South Windsor. This is the second consecutive year in being named to the Chairman’s Club.
 
Luke Ostrowski, Private Mortgage Banker, joined United Bank in 2014 and has over 14 years of experience in financial services/mortgage lending. Prior to United, Ostrowski was a Senior Mortgage Banker with Residential Mortgage Services, Inc. and held similar roles at Citizens Bank, Bank of America and JP Morgan Chase. While at Citizens, he received a similar accolade when he was named to the President’s Club. Luke is a resident of Millis, Massachusetts and is based at United’s Loan Production Office in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
 
Dan Silva, Vice President, Customer Care Center, has been with United Bank since June 2013 and manages the Bank’s Direct Sales Channel and the Bank’s Customer Care Center. Before coming to United Bank, Silva was a Mortgage Loan Officer at Webster Bank covering the Northeast market. Silva, who resides in Rocky Hill, Connecticut, is currently enrolled in the 2016 Class of the Connecticut School of Finance & Management (CSFM) through the Connecticut Banker’s Association. This is the second consecutive year in being named to the Chairman’s Club.

President’s Club
Harry Sessa, Private Mortgage Banker, has been a mortgage banker since 1990. Prior to joining United Bank in 2014, Sessa has worked for Great Western, Washington Mutual, Bank of America and Wells Fargo.  He has received numerous achievement awards throughout his career, including Chairmen’s Club, Five Star Mortgage Professional, President’s Club and Platinum Club. He has funded over $1.3 billion in home loans. Harry works extensively with Yale University and Hospital employees and is based at United’s Hamden location.
 
Vice President’s Club
Stephen Habetz, Private Mortgage Banker, joined United Bank in July 2015. Habetz, who has been active in the mortgage industry for 30 years, was owner of Threshold Mortgage in Westport for 23 years. Prior to coming to United, Habetz was Vice President of Stamford Mortgage, a subsidiary of Savings Bank of Danbury. Habetz is a resident of Stamford, Conn. and is based at United Bank’s Fairfield County Loan Production Office at 1720 Post Road in Fairfield.
 
Milly Parzychowski, Mortgage Loan Originator, CMPS®, of Feeding Hills, Mass., joined United Bank in 2011 and covers Western Massachusetts. Parzychowski’s more than 40 years in banking and mortgage origination included loan officer roles at Mortgage Master, Inc. and Family Choice Mortgage, Corp. Parzychowski was also a Branch Manager at American Home Mortgage, and at CNI National Mortgage, Loan Originator with National City & Source One, and started her banking career as a teller at Valley Bank in Springfield, MA. She is currently an MBA candidate at Bay Path University. Parzychowski is based at United’s Westfield, Mass. branch at 10 Elm Street. Last year she was named to United’s Vice President’s Club.

Brian Pelletier, Vice President & Private Mortgage Banker, has over 15 years’ experience in mortgage banking. He came to United Bank in 2014 from First Niagara Bank, where he held various positions, including Residential Lending Specialist and Interim Sales Manager. He was also a Loan Officer for Bank of America and a Sales Representative for GMAC Mortgage. Pelletier resides in Manchester with his wife and three children and is based at United Bank’s 95 Glastonbury Blvd. in Glastonbury. Pelletier has earned other company and industry awards throughout his career including Chairman’s Club and Prestigious Pinnacle Award at First Niagara, and a State of Connecticut Official Citation in recognition of his contribution to Manchester home ownership assistance for neighborhood and community development through the pilot down payment assistance program. He has truly made a difference for many families in becoming first-time homebuyers in the state of Connecticut. 

Len Tocci, Private Mortgage Banker, joined United Bank in 2014 and is based at the Bank’s Loan Production Office in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Tocci came to United Bank in 2014 from Guaranteed Rate, where he was Vice President of Mortgage Lending. His 30 years of mortgage banking/lending experience includes his work at Bank of America as a Corporate Relationship Officer; Vice President, National Origination Manager for Summit Mortgage LLC; and other roles Century Bank, Barnett Bank and Boston Five.
