Balint, Siedman Join United Bank as Senior Mortgage Originators

Chet Balint and Richard Siedman have joined United Bank as senior mortgage originators, according to an announcement by Richard B. Collins, president and CEO.

Balint will be located at United’s branch in Cheshire, CT. He joins the Bank with more than 20 years of experience in the residential mortgage origination industry, most recently as the founder, manager and operator of Milestone Real Estate LLC and Milestone Mortgage LLC, both in Cheshire.

He also served in prior mortgage origination positions with Peoples Savings Bank, Webster Bank, and Society for Savings Bank, as well as the American Residential Mortgage Corporation.

Balint is a member of the Connecticut Mortgage Bankers Association, where he serves on the Production Committee. He also serves on the boards of the Waverly Professional Park Commercial Condo Association and the Meadowbrook Home Owners Association, both in Cheshire.

He is a member of the Hartford Track Club, and is a volunteer trainer and guide with the Achilles Track Club, supporting the running goals of individuals with disabilities. He is also a member of the board of the 2014 Cheshire Half Marathon & 5k Road Race charity event.

Balint is a Cheshire resident.

A South Windsor resident, Siedman joins United Bank with more than two decades of mortgage banking and account management experience. He was most recently with Webster Bank, NA, where he was a residential mortgage loan officer. Previously, he was with Family Choice Mortgage, a subsidiary of Rockville Bank. Earlier in his career, he held account executive positions with Freedom Mortgage Corp. and HSBC Mortgage Corp.

Siedman holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Lowell (MA) Technological Institute and an associate’s in business from the N.E. Aeronautical Institute in Nashua, NH. He is a longtime member of the South Windsor Water Pollution Control Authority, and sits on the board of directors of Temple Beth Hillel in South Windsor.

He will be based at United Bank’s Ellington, CT branch.
